This series is bittersweet. On the one hand it is what I have been praying for, an anthology containing excellent stories illustrated by master artists, but on the other hand once we reach #6 we will be appreciating the last work of the late, great Joe Kubert.

Apart from the peerless Kubert, the series also features the talents of Sam Glanzman, a veteran illustrator for both Charlton and DC war books. He had a long tenure as the artist for Haunted Tank in G. I. Combat.

Brian Buniak also writes and illustrates Angel and the Ape. I can't praise this series enough, please rush out and buy it!
